On Fri afternoon, one of the tyres of J's car was punctured. He knew something hit the tyres but unsure if would caused any serious troubles. After dinner, he went to the carpark to check the tyres.
True enough, the left front wheel of the car was almost flat! He was shocked and called R for help. R was busy with his work but still rushed over to help. In the end, the two macho men managed to change the flat tyre using the spare tyre in the boot.
On Sat, we went to Jurong East for our routine grocery shopping. The card-reader in the car was faulty. As a result, the machine at the carpark was unable to detect our card reader. J has to insert his cash card manually.
J went to Autobac for the flat tyre and then VICOM for the card-reader. The mechanic did a patchup for the tyre but adviced might not work too well because a thick and long nail has punctured it. Why such a nail was found in our tyre? If we were to buy a new tyre, the cost would be around $125. We adopted the wait and see attitude.
Our card-reader was faulty and a one to one exchange was allowed with no cost involved. After driving for so many years, this is my first time encountering such a problem with the reader.
On Sun early morning, I was almost reaching my office when I suddenly saw something on the middle of the road. I thought it was a big plastic bag and since there was no way I could avoid it, I ran over it! It turned out to be something hard and it was stuck underneath my car! I dragged the thing for almost 50 metres before it came out of my car. OMG, what was this hard plastic cover doing in the middle of the road? I am unsure if it has caused any damages to my car.
