Finally I faced this long-waiting appointment which has been fixed before CNY, this issue which has been bothering and torturing me mentally for months.
It was quite a long talk - close to 4 hours! In a way, I was quite glad to have this opportunity to talk to my HOD. We talked almost anything and everything related to our occupation, our problems, our organisation's and department's visions and goals etc. We also shared the times when our department was still quite a small one and now has grown so much that there are staff whom I do not know much.
HOD understood my concerns and I understood her difficulties in implementing policies for the benefit of the organisation. I even suggested taking no pay leave or resign but she objected strongly. In a way, I was quite glad because she viewed me as an asset and not a liable, that I am still useful to the department and organisation. I was touched by her words. But how to solve my problems/concerns?
I have done my best to explain my situation to her.
God will do the rest!
