How did you spend your first few days of the Year of Tiger?
On the eve (13 Feb 2010), the morning was spent doing my last minute spring-cleaning and grocery shopping. More soft-drinks, CNY tit-bits, frozen meat and fresh vegetables were bought since the wet market and many supermarkets will be closed.
In the late afternoon, we arrived at mum's place to prepare for the reunion dinner. Most of the cooking has been done by Doris & Daniel during the morning. By 5pm, we carried all the dishes happily to the bbq pit located at the top floor of the clubhouse. This pit is an isolated one and we have all the space to ourselves.
Daniel helped to start the fire for the bbq pit. I thought it was only a steamboat dinner, yusheng plus pengchai. Doris wanted the kids to have more fun and prepared a small scale bbq.
By 6pm, all the food was ready and everybody has arrived, ready to tuck in the delicious and mouth-watering dishes set on the 2 tables.
J managed to take some shots before all the food was gone.
