Due to the exessive eating, drinking and watching tv programmes into late night, we woke up quite late.
There was only a programme for the day and that was a dinner at 1st uncle's home in Yishun.
Since we did not have to leave home until late afternoon, the rest of the day was spent in front of the tv or reading books. Talking about books, I have finished reading Chicken Soup for the Soul's "Like Mother, Like Daughter" and now into "On Being a Parent".
The sky turned cloudy and windy. J suddenly decided to leave earlier so that we could make a trip to Upper Seletar Reservoir before heading Yishun for our dinner.
Some years ago, we went to this reservoir for a walk. It was a beautiful and peaceful place minus the sunshine. We saw some wild monkeys wandering around in the car-park.
The dinner in uncle's place turned out to be a grand feast; just too much for us to eat. Before the dinner, the great variety of CNY tit-bits available was already too much for us to refuse. When it was time for dinner, we were already half-full but the sambal prawns, thick chicken curry, salted vegetable duck soup etc were just too good to miss.
By 8pm, I was holding my big tummy, sitting on the sofa, refused to move as digestion took place slowly.
