(source: www.singaporeflyer.com.sg)The famous Singapore Flyer started its maiden flight on 11th Feb 2008. The construction of this national icon took about three years to complete. This flyer is the tallest (height of 165m) observation wheel in the world now, some 30m taller than the London’s Eye. There are 28 capsules and each capsule can carry up to 28 passengers. The duration of each ride is about half an hour. I took a ride on London’s Eye in June 2007 and would never be able to forget the thrill when the capsule was high up in the air. Yes, I will bring my family to take a ride on the Singapore Flyer once it is opened to the public. This ride is certain to bring some thrill and fond memories to them.
