Day 3

The training is getting more challenging. With little sleep each night, I am unsure if I achieve optimal learning. Nevertheless, today's take away is Create a Learning Action Map.
It is quite a meaningful exercise to attempt.

The facilitators agreed to continue with more sharing the next day.

Others have started planning activities for the weekend.

Day 2

Lessons start to get a bit technical. As I have not been sleeping well every night, attending the lessons become tortuous and stressful. The good thing is I got to talk to people to learn from them.

Day 1

As usual, I could not sleep well at all in an unfamiliar environment. I woke up almost every hour, only waiting for the offical waking up time, 6am to arrive.

The breakfast was ok, maybe it was the first day and am sure after a few days of similar food, I will be terribly sick of it.

I was glad that the Open Ceremony was short and brief as we had many discussions going on. I would not say the pace of the training was too fast, but simply too much to ponder, express and share with others.

Time flies, and soon it was coffee/tea break, followed by lunch and then coffee/tea before our Welcome Dinner.

I stepped out of my comfort zone to talk to rep from other countries. I will make sure I learn as much as I can during this period.

Day 0

I left home when the sky was still dark so that I could beat the heavy traffic to reach the airport as early as I could. Yes, I reached before 7am to check in my luggage. I was able to be at my working desk slightly after 7am.

I was fighting for time to clear as many tasks as I could before catching my flight.

When I was at the boarding gate, there was an announcement that the flight would be delayed slightly. Gan and I managed to board the plane around 12.35pm but the plane was not moving at all. It was on the tarmac for close to half an hour for no obvious reasons.

Thus we arrived Jakarta late. The queue to clear the immigration was super long. We were worried if we missed the pick-up. Then we saw our names and glad to meet the organizers, only to be told that we needed to wait for 2 more participants.

We were stuck at Old Town Coffee for close to 2 hours before leaving the airport around 4.30pm.

The traffic out of Jakarta was terrible. The traffic was crawling on the expressways. Along our journey, we made a few stops as Gan would like to buy a SIM card while another a tie for the Opening Ceremony.

We managed to reach our destination close to 8pm; spending about 4 hours on the road!

I was dead tired and just wanted to gobble my dinner before retiring to my room.
