At a nearby petrol kiosk, I noted the prices of different grades of petrol:
Silver : $2.186 per litre,
Gold : $2.260 per litre and
Platinum : $2.386 per litre.
A $70 bill can only buy 32.023 litres of petrol. An estimate of 15km (depending on various factors) uses 1 litre of petrol. So to travel a distance of about 15km, one pays at least $2.20.
Is travelling becoming more expensive?
