Finally I finished my Marathorn Work Schedule for this week. Since Sunday (4 Oct), I have been going into the office daily till today (11 Oct) due to an Exercise. The management is unable to supply an extra staff to support this Exercise, as a result my boss and I have to fend ourselves.
Instead of objecting and arguing, my boss said, "just support LAH!"
This week has been extremely tough; mentally and physically stressed and drained.
Hurray! I can take a break tomorrow!

Thomas, The Train
The train service between Otsuki and Kawaaguchiko is run by Fujikyu. There are several types of train used for this service.

One of them is Thomas, The Train.
I decided to take this special train when I leave Kawaguchiko for Tokyo.

A Small Hiccup
On Wednesday, J said that he might not return on Sunday as planned, because his boss was pretty upset about the arrangement of sending another staff to takeover from him.
I asked; isn't this has been long planned and approved? Why the sudden change of plan?
Honestly, it is cheaper to send a staff to Brest for 2-3 weeks, then to send 2 persons, each staying there for about 1.5 weeks. The cost of air-tickets is already doubled for 2 staff.
But there are tons of work sitting on J's table. He has to return to clear his backlog asap.
In the end, J insisted on returning on Sunday which gave us a relief. But we do not know what music he will face when he returns to his office on Monday.
Who cares? Family is more important!

Forget the Deer in Nara Deer Park
I have been thinking hard on my whole day in Kansai region.
We will leave early after the breakfast at the hotel in Shinosaka. Then we will take the shinkansen to Kyoto for the Kyoto Imperial Palace Guided Tour at 10am. After that, we plan to go to Nishijin Textile Center to catch the kimono show at 11.30am.
After lunch, we plan to walk to Gion Corner and Ponto-cho to catch a glimpse of the geisha and maiko.
I seriously doubt we have much time to catch a train to Nara to see the deer. This train journey is about an hour. By the time I reach Nara, it will be in the late afternoon and the sun would have already set.
I told Isa that we would be dropping the idea of seeing the deer. She agreed and said that we could see the deer in the Zoo. She preferred to see the geisha and maiko too.

A Short Working Trip to Beijing? - part 1
Seeking permission is on the way for me to attend a 3 days workshop in Beijing during late Nov.
I don't know if I should rejoice or sad as my last overseas working trip was YEARS ago to Kuantan, Malaysia.
This trip comes with a price; before this workshop, I have to start preparing and to write a paper on the topics concerned. After returning home, I have to present what I have learnt during this workshop and to share among colleagues.
I am glad that this trip falls in the school holiday and thus there will be minimum impact to my family. Also, I may even be able to experience the cold wintry conditions in Beijing first before my Japan holidays.
Pray hard for me that from now to year-end, all my loved ones are healthy and everything runs smoothly as I have planned.
Thanks.

Brest - France
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brest,_France
Brest is a city located in the western tip of France.
J is on his regular trip to Brest again. So far, this is his second trip and he has to make another before the year ends.
If I have not decided to go to Japan for the holidays, maybe I can spend my holidays in France and its neighbouring countries. However, the 13 hours flight to Europe really puts me off.
Maybe I can consider going to Europe next year, when I have saved enough money!

Tremors!
Yesterday (30 Sep), after my dinner at about 6.15pm, I sat on the sofa to continue reading my Japan Guide Book. Suddenly, I felt my bum moving! Silly as I can't be shaking my bum when I was sitting on the sofa reading a book. I felt quite giddy and the strange sensation was definitely unpleasant. These strange feelings occured again and again. I told myself that I must be feeling weak after working so many extra hours in the office.
I looked at Isa who was diligently doing her homework at one corner of the living room. I asked her in a normal and nice way if she has felt something strange. She told me she felt giddy and that her body was moving slightly.
OMG, we could not be feeling giddy at the SAME time!
We switched on the tv but it was still early for the 6.30pm channel 8 news. There was no newsflash. We thought something strange has happened and suspected a big earthquake in Indonesia.
True enough during the 6.30pm channel 8 tv news, a magnitude of about 7.9 earthquake was reported in Padang, Indonesia. Tremors were felt in Singapore and Malaysia.
What an unusual evening!
