The final payment for a silver Avante has been made. The car dealer is eager to collect the payment as the shipment will be arriving this weekend.
According to this dealer, it will take a few days to register before I can collect this new car. As mentioned, I have mixed feelings; I will be saying Bye Forever to my old Corolla and she will be scrapped soon.
I may be able to see my new "baby" in late April or early May.
So buying a car is really quite a breeze.

When we drove our avante away and left behind our Corolla, I had a sad feeling. Afterall, she has served us faithfully for the past 6.5 years.
Blame it on our current system; the COE bought for corolla was about 29k+ and 7k+ for avante.

Hai, have to change sooner or later. I actually gave up my Hyundai for a Honda, and we still have our trusty Toyota(17years!!! bought when we were newly married!). And the 1st car I drove(my husband's) was also a Toyota. *haha* that's why I was just commenting on the reliability of Toyota, that's all.

It is amazing to know a 17 years old Toyota can still exist in Singapore, not because its engine is too old to work, but people said the expensive road tax for old cars etc, simply discourage such old cars running on the road.
I must admit my 6.5 years old corolla is still going strong and thus the delay of changing it until now.
If is not because of the low COE prices, I would not give other cars a "hoot" at all.
Buying avante is a gamble. I don't know if I am asking for troubles. All things come with a risk. At least for the coming 3 years, I don't have to worry much because it comes with a warranty.

yeah, i know! I changed my honda for a new model after just a short period too bc of the lower coe!!! And worse yet - I preferred the configuration of the old model. Oh well...
